As a female-founded brand, Àmoi is created by women, for women. Inspired by corporate wear, our brand is built on empowering other young women to feel sexy, confident, and beautiful in Àmoi clothing at the office, working from home, or any occasion - work hard, play hard.
THE INSPIRATION
The Àmoi Studio collections are inspired by prior travels to the South of France, with the intention of incorporating European culture in Canada. The clothing pieces in both collections are thoughtfully named after streets and significant places located in the South of France. Each line takes inspiration from European culture, with a modern feminine flare. Comfort, versatility and confidence are at the top of mind allowing women to feel and look their best wherever their life takes them.

In the heart of the Financial District in downtown Toronto, two girls with corporate jobs meet up for a quick lunch break. Over lunch, the two chatted about the night ahead and the outfits shoved in their purses to change into for later. Questioning why the contrast between work clothes and going out clothes were so drastically different they expressed frustration that their office wear was lost in their evening wear. The ultimate question: why can't we have both? Thus, the idea to create a clothing collection that brings our multi-faceted lives together. To wear by day up until night for whatever you get yourself into (or out of) these pieces are designed to wear throughout it all. Inspired by the luxurious and seductive French culture, Àmoi is for the 9-5 and beyond. However late the clothes stay on - that is up to you.

Our manufacturer values local and sustainable production here in Toronto, Canada. Àmoi is contributing to a sustainable community to reduce waste and the pressure to over produce a collection, in order to meet the demands of the traditional minimum quantities. Creating a collection that embodies a luxury appearance without contributing to fast-fashion practices is one of the main priorities for Àmoi.
